Tell Your STATE Representatives: We MUST Classify These Hidden Industries!
We face a setback: the NAICS 2027 public comment period closed on February 18, 2025—before my proposals were submitted on July 2, 2025. Now, we must push for an exception to allow an off-cycle review to formally classify these critical industries:
These industries generate billions in economic activity and significantly impact American workers and students — yet they remain unclassified, untaxed, and unregulated, operating outside the oversight every other major U.S. industry faces.
Important: The inclusion of NAICS 561399 and 611319 is an administrative process handled by the U.S. Census Bureau and supporting agencies. It does not require congressional or senate approval. However, congressional support can help accelerate adoption and ensure these codes are prioritized for the 2027 revision cycle.
This is not an immigration reform request.
This is a call for economic transparency and proper classification.
Why This Matters
Supporting an exception for these NAICS codes is the critical first step toward:
- Accurate tracking and oversight
- Robust regulation and accountability
- Laying the groundwork for policies protecting U.S. citizens
Think of it as Phase 1—the foundation that enables every other reform to follow.
